09.18.09 Years of disarray, but I'm finally back with some new ideas. Now, we shall see what my friends think about them and hopefully they'd like to join me.

"They believe in the same saints you do. And prayer. What they call spells, you call miracles. They have priests."
"We don't make zombies."
"Jesus rose from the dead after three days."
"Jesus is not a zombie! I shouldn't even have to tell you that."

who am i...?

I am Kym (Kimberly) and I've had this website since 2000. Before that I used to have a crappy little website on my dial-up provider's server. I know, right? Dial-up. Gods, it's like thinking about the primordial ooze that existed before the Dinosaurs. I used to be a Rainbow Kid - you know, born in the 80's, most likely to have the ecstasy-induced webpage that had ani-kaos all over the place and bright, Rainbow Brite colors everywhere.

Why 'Kym'? Well, a distant cousin of mine used to spell it that, and I remember being quite taken with her as a kid (the whole two or three times I met her). Either way, it stuck with me. I've always somewhat hated my name but with 'Kym' it feels better; I guess because it's a) different and b)sort of a family thing now.

I like to think of those as the Dark Ages aka before my brother pirated Photoshop 7.0 for me. I was working out of paint and other people's premade resources, so I guess I did well with what I had. However, I learned html and when CSS came along, I taught myself that as well. I taught myself Photoshop, eventually getting to the point where my company bought me CS2 and now my new goal is to get at least familiar enough with php to not make my website implode when I muck about with it. I think it's a decent goal.

I'm 20 (as of November 27th, 2007) and a Sagittarius. I'm sure I'll copy and paste some babble about it at the bottom that is, actually, pretty fucking accurate. I love sports, mostly soccer, but have had to go easy on them as I have scoliosis - this means that my spine is curved. My spine curves in two places; there is a 40 degree curve and a 60 degree curve so that my spine looks like an S. This dual curve keeps me looking normal, unless you look and feel very closely. It's good party conversation.

Currently, I'm enrolled in a Southern Californian college and hoping to get my bachelor's in English. I have a few things I'd love to do: write (for television), act (in indie films) or curate in a museum. These things will likely change, but I want to be able to look to my profesional life and be satisfied without any outside help from people, mostly because work is such a huge part of life. I do believe in soul mates, but I'm sort of not holding my breath.

my cat is better than yours...

...what? She is.

I have a cat named Makoto (after the only anime character I've ever really enjoyed, Sailor Jupiter). She is 3 years old (as of October 2008) and a very petite tortie, not to mention completely a-fucking-dorable. I mean, look at her. Her fur is so soft it's hard to resist nuzzling her constantly. Mako, however, is not fond of strangers and being picked up but she adores me which is fine, because I need to feel special.

She likes hidey holes, cat nip and playing with bugs. Makoto would also sweep the Kitty Olympics.
